Jamaica Social Investment Fund ERP Disaster simulation Software Development and Web-Map
- Developing a web- and game-based, interactive, visualization tool for the damage likely from hazards. The web-map and simulator were built to simulate damage to different types of houses (wall type, roof type, foundation type and landscape type) given a hazard (earthquake, hurricane, tropical storm, coastal surges). The simulator was built using the Unity 3D gaming engine. The web map was built to showcase information about a point supplied via the user. Once the desired infrastructure, location and hazard were chosen by the user, the gaming engine would progress to simulate likely damage, if any. Stakeholder Consultation, GIS Data Collation, Quality Assurance, Data Analysis and Processing, Develop Mitigation Strategies, Database Design, animation story boarding and gaming development.
