The Mona GeoInformatics Institute (MGI) and the Phillip & Christine Gore Family Foundation (GFF) have partnered to implement a Robotics Programme in 10 basic schools in Kingston. Throughout February 2024, MGI visited the 10 basic schools where the project has been implemented to support our robotics coaches as they deliver lessons and activities. The classes were well received as students got the opportunity to build their own structures, play interactive games, and work with one another at a time. The programme is aimed at providing an introduction for children aged 4 – 6 years old, to the concepts of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
It’s never too early to start teaching the foundational skills of robotics and science and MGI is committed to this cause!
